ARC Flash Suit
An electric arc suit is a specialised type of personal protective equipment (PPE) that protects workers from the intense heat, light, and pressure of an arc flash incident. These suits are made of inherently flame-resistant, multi-layered fabric and can include components like a jacket, pants, gloves, and a hood, all designed to insulate the wearer from burns. The level of protection is rated in calories per square centimetre (cal/cm²) which indicates how much thermal energy the suit can withstand before a second-degree burn would occur, ensuring worker safety in high-risk electrical environments.
